Last month I purchased a Pepper Jobs External Monitor to be used for quick PlayStation Gaming while I am attending to other things on my PC or Desk. The monitor worked fine for everything except for my PS3 and PS4 which either gave me a Blank Screen or a Flickering Screen. For a moment I thought I had a faulty monitor. After a bit of digging I managed to fix the problem for both consoles.

If you are facing the same problem as me, you can simply head over to your console’s “Display” or “Screen” settings and TURN OFF ‘Deep Color Output’. Please refer to screenshots of the options below.

Now everything works fine without problem. I am assuming this trick should work with PS5 as well and also fix a lot of issues with other portable displays as well.
