This might not be a new technology, but for me its something new where AAA and AA batteries are now rechargeable without an external proprietary charger as it comes with a built in USB Type-C port. For me, this is really convenient and something I would use and carry around always.

From the image above you can see both the AAA and AA batteries are having type-c port for charging built in. You can charge it up by using any normal type-c chargers which is very convenient as most of us have it with us almost all the times. You will get a 2 headed type-c charging cable included with your purchase so you can charge up two batteries at the same time.
